Louisiana GOP Members Dismiss Obama's State of the Union as 'Fantasy'

President Barack Obama came full circle Tuesday evening (Jan. 12).

Several of Louisiana's elected officials, however, noticed common themes from past speeches and dismissed Obama's talking points as nothing new from a lame duck president.

Overall, U.S. Rep Ralph Abraham, R-Alto, called Obama's speech "hollow words" in a statement.

"Easily the best thing about tonight's State of the Union was that it's the last one President Obama will ever give," he said.
